My poster includes a basket filled with important Jewish and Israeli symbols. The challah bread and wine cup represent Shabbat, tradition, and family gatherings. The Torah scrolls symbolize Jewish history, faith, and learning. The Star of David and Israeli flag represent national identity and unity. The number 78 as candles represents the years of Israel’s independence and celebration. Israel plays a central role in the Jewish world because it is the historic homeland of the Jewish people. It is a place where Jewish culture, language, and traditions continue to grow and develop. Israel also serves as a symbol of resilience, survival, and renewal after centuries of exile and hardship. For many Jews, Israel creates a connection between the past, present, and future. My poster shows this through symbols of celebration, faith, and national pride. The message of my poster is that Israel is a source of pride, hope, and unity for Jewish people around the world. It celebrates both the modern state of Israel and the deep traditions that connect Jews across generations. Eva Elbaz George Leven AIU 12th grade France Dan Nachman Hillel School 5th grade Sweden
