The elements I used for this poster are plants, food, the flag of Israel, a woman, and the 78 years of the State of Israel. For me, food and plants represent the progress of how the land of Israel has been able to advance so much in technology and quality of life, since Israel was once a desert where very few people lived, until the State of Israel was able to bring more Jews to this land and live together in peace. We can see that the flag of Israel includes small designs of the night sky and plants, representing how hard Israel has worked—not only in agriculture, but also in how it managed to create a state and the effort required to build it. The woman is full of life, grateful, and has strong faith in her heart. The values that Israel represents today are effort, independence, and collaboration. Despite all the war and what Israel has lost over the years, many people have shown kindness by collaborating and donating to organizations in order to create change in the community. This is what makes us a very special people—being able to help in any way we can and always striving to improve our Jewish spirit. The Israeli army also makes every effort to protect this land. The message I want to convey is the beauty of Israel through its growth and the impact it has had on people’s souls. I believe that all the effort Israel has made is a great achievement for us and makes us more proud to be Jewish. What helped me the most from the National Library of Israel were the posters. I was able to see different colors and shapes that conveyed various messages, which inspired me to create a very colorful poster.
